With the Take A Local app, tourists can journey through Tasmania on their own terms, uncovering hidden gems and storied paths between A and B, all while keeping the spirit of discovery alive. In the burgeoning landscape of travel tech, a first-time founder, Luke Ellis envisioned a unique concept — a self-guided audio tour app, that seamlessly integrates GPS technology to enhance the user experience, both online and offline. His vision was clear: an application that provided turn-by-turn directions, captivating stories, and curated music, all automatically synced with the user’s journey.
